My personal journey began with a serious shoulder injury that ultimately led me to step away from my previous career in the tire and mechanics industry. While this chapter of my life brought unexpected challenges, it also provided an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with what mattered most, and spend more time with my family and on the land.

Through this connection to nature, I gained a profound respect for spruce pitch and its longstanding place within our culture and heritage.

What began as a personal journey soon became a vision for a different future—one rooted in family, tradition, and a meaningful relationship with the land. Inspired by our ancestors and the gifts of the Canadian wilderness, Northern Rockies Resin Co. was born.

Today, we proudly create organic, natural, Canadian-made skin care products that honour our Métis heritage, celebrate the beauty of the boreal forest, and reflect our commitment to quality, authenticity, and respect for the land that continues to inspire us.

Growing up in Grande Prairie, I spent years working in physically demanding oilfield and labour jobs. After marrying and starting a family, I felt called to return to my ancestral roots in Grande Cache, on the Métis land that has been cherished by my family for generations.

Inspired by our Métis roots, and the traditions of those who came before us, I founded Northern Rockies Resin Co. to share the story of spruce pitch through handcrafted products that celebrate nature, culture, and community.
